Shipping Policy 

England and Wales 

Orders are sent tracked and signed for usually with DPD

 For smaller, lighter parcels we may use Royal Mail.

(Please see below for pallet delivery times)

Orders will be dispatched within 1 working day (Monday-Friday)

No orders are dispatched on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays

Parcels under 20kg are sent on a next day service - please note currently couriers are advising 1-3 working days for this service. These parcels are sent tracked and signed for. On the day of delivery you will receive an email and a text with a 1 Hour time slot.

Please note courier delivery days are Monday - Friday

Scottish Highlands and Islands do not include free postage, couriers exclude this from their standard delivery zones in the UK and charge a higher surcharge to these areas, therefore there is a an extra charge for these areas - we understand this is very annoying as we agree with our customers it is part of the UK ! - but couriers charge higher premium for these zones which is beyond our control. 

Due to the extra charges and restrictions imposed by our courier for some Highland, Remote and Offshore postcodes, delivery surcharges are applied for parcels that are sent via Parcelforce,

Surcharges are based on weight per 20kg depending on Zonal Area 2 or 3. We have no control on charges to these areas

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout depending on product, weight and destination

Delivery Charges

A standard rate of £6.99 per order no maximum weight - This service is DPD Next Day (Please read above for courier service times) (Excludes Scottish Highlands and Islands)

Delivery Attempts & Failed Pick Up Shop Collections 

DPD will attempt to deliver 3 times. After the 3rd attempt parcels are returned back to ourselves. If you do not respond to the 'Sorry we missed you' Card/Text or Email) your order will be returned to The Poultry Shop UK. Your order will get refunded minus the return postage cost back to The Poultry Shop UK

Customers are responsible for tracking and re scheduling their parcels and following up 'Sorry we missed you' notifications. If you need help with this please contact us. 

Please note return charges for failed delivery & pick up shop is £6.99 Per Box 

This will be deducted from your refund. (Please note this only includes returns from DPD due to failed delivery attempts & no show pick up shop collections)
